COMPETITION

 

for the selection of one (1) employee (m/f) for a first-class scientific-teaching position of assistant professor (m/f), scientific area: natural sciences, scientific field: mathematics, full-time employment for an indefinite period of time

 

All candidates of the Competition, in addition to the general conditions established by the Labor Act ("Official Gazette" No. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22, 46/23 and 64/23), must also fulfill the conditions prescribed in Article 39 Paragraph 3 and Article 119 Paragraph 6 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity ("Official Gazette" No. 119/22), Article 123 Paragraph 2 and Article 200 of the Statute of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek, Article 47 paragraph 2 of the Statute of the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics and article 9 paragraph 1 of the Rulebook on the implementation of the selection/reelection procedure for scientific-teaching, artistic-teaching, teaching, associate and professional positions at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek (consolidated text).

With the tender application, candidates are obliged to attach documentation according to Form no. 1 – Application for a competition for a scientific-teaching position.

The application form and the Rulebook on the implementation of the selection/reelection procedure for scientific-teaching, artistic-teaching, teaching, associate and professional positions at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek (consolidated text) are published on the website of the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics within the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek www.mathos.unios.hr .

Candidates who are foreign citizens must attach proof of knowledge of the Croatian language in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​at level C2 and attach proof of recognition of a foreign higher education qualification.

On the website of the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics, www.mathos.unios.hr ,  there is a description of the duties of the position assistant professor. 

If an applicant is entitled to the right of priority to employment by a special act, he/she is obliged to invoke this right in the application and takes precedence over other applicants under the same conditions. In addition to submitting proof of fulfillment of the required conditions, applicants exercising the right of priority to employment pursuant to the Act on the Rights of Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Their Families (Official Gazette No. 121/17) are also obliged to provide all necessary evidence listed on the following link of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans: https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843

Candidates who meet the formal conditions of the competition and who have attached binding documentation to the competition application will be interviewed, and they will be informed about the place and time of the interview via the website of the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek www.mathos.unios.hr . 

Applications for the Competition with documentation must be submitted within thirty (30) days from the date of the announcement of the Competition in electronic form to the address natjecaj@mathos.hr with the indication "Competition application - assistant professor - mathematics".

People of both genders can apply to the Competition under equal conditions.

Late and incomplete applications will not be considered. A complete application is considered an application that contains all the information and attachments listed in the public tender and that is signed by hand.

The School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics will publish the decision on the selection of an employee on the website www.mathos.unios.hr no later than eight (8) days from the date of adoption and, with the prior consent of the selected candidate, publish the professional resume.

All candidates will be informed about the results of the Competition no later than fifteen (15) days from the day of its completion via the website of the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek www.mathos.unios.hr . 

The School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics reserves the right to notify all registered candidates by e-mail.

All candidates are required to attach a completed and signed Consent Form, which is published on the website of the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics www.mathos.unios.hr ,  with which the candidate gives his consent for all his personal data contained in the tender documentation to be collected and processed in the purpose of conducting the tender in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of individuals in connection with the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and on the repeal of the Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

Without a duly completed and signed Consent Form accompanying the application to the Competition, the application will be considered incomplete and will be rejected.
