Offer Description
The main part of the Postdoctoral Fellow’s work will involve the synthesis of metal and metal oxide nanoparticles using metallosurfactants as precursors, which represents the central objective of the research. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be associated with the Croatian Science Foundation project “Multifunctional metallosurfactants: a simple way to nanomaterials and low-dimensional magnets”. Within the framework of this project, the Postdoctoral Fellow will be involved in the rational design and synthesis of structurally different metallosurfactants. The position is offered on a fixed-term basis for a period of 48 months.

Skills/Qualifications
Along with the general criteria for establishing an employment relationship from Article 39, paragraph 7 of the Law on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- academic degree of Doctor of natural sciences in the field of chemistry, chemical engineering or applied chemistry
- doctoral thesis in inoragnic or physical chemistry
- aptitude for scientific research, creative work, and teamwork
- active knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
Candidates with proven experience in the synthesis and physicochemical characterization of metal and metal oxide nanosystems will be given preference.

Selected candidates who have achieved their higher qualifications outside Croatia will be required, before the signing of the employment contract, to obtain the Ruling on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education.
The candidate cannot be employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Republic of Croatia for a total of more than four years.
The employment includes a six-month trial period.
