Offer Description

 Associate position Senior Assistant in the Department of Physical Chemistry, Laboratory for Sustainable and Applied Chemistry, for work in the field of natural sciences, field of chemistry - on the HRZZ project "Mechanochemical Strategies towards New Complex Porous Catalysts" (MECATALYST), position with special working conditions, for a fixed term until 30.11.2027, 1 executor

In addition to the general criteria for employment from Article 39, paragraph 7 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• academic degree of Doctor of Science in the field of natural sciences, field of chemistry, or in the field of technical sciences, field of chemical engineering,
• active knowledge of English in speech and writing.

 

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in organic synthesis, mechanochemical synthesis, chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopic and diffraction methods (NMR, Raman, XRD, FTIR).

Eligibility criteria

Candidate must have:

• academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the area of natural sciences, field of Chemistry,
• active knowledge of English in speech and writing.

The candidate cannot be employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Republic of Croatia for a total of more than four years. If a candidate for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow has already been employed at that position in the Republic of Croatia, the employment contract can only be established for the time remaining until 4 years.

The employment, according to the Rules of Croatian Science Foundation - for work on a project as Postdoctoral Fellow, can be contracted a maximum of two times (i.e. on two different projects) and only with candidates whose period between the enrolment in doctoral studies and this employment is no longer than 10 years

 

Additional comments

Selected candidates who have achieved their higher qualifications outside Croatia will be required, before the signing of the employment contract, to obtain the Ruling on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education. 

A work contract with a Postdoctoral Fellow can be concluded upon the consent of Croatian Science Foundation. 

The employment includes a six-month trial period.

The workplace with special working conditions requires medical examination prior to Work contract, which should ensure that candidate health is acceptable for work in common conditions in that line of work. If medical indications do not comply those conditions, Work contract will not be signed.
