The Faculty Council of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb (hereinafter: the PMF), pursuant to Articles 32(1)(19), and 77 of the Faculty Statutes, announces the following:

 

C A L L   F O R   A P P L I C A T I O N S

 

for appointment 

2) to the associate position of senior assistant in natural science, the field of physics, the branch of nuclear physics, for a fixed term and on a full-time basis, to work on the Croatian Science Foundation project: IP-2025-02-4214 Dynamics of Complex Femtosystems, at the Division of Theoretical Physics of the PMF, Department of Physics – 1 person.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The Call is open to applicants of either gender on equal terms.

In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, under all points of the Call the applicants must satisfy the requirements set out in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/22).

 

The applicants under all points of the Call must enclose the following with their respective applications: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship, the transcript of academic records from the undergraduate and graduate or integrated programme levels. 

The applicants under point 2 must satisfy the following conditions: 

-  a doctoral degree in natural science, the field of physics, the branch of nuclear physics (theoretical).

 

Additional conditions

-  experience relating to scientific work in modelling nuclear fission process (developing theoretical models and numerical simulations), which can be proved by enclosing relevant papers published in internationally reviewed scientific journals.

For all points of the Call the applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations should refer to the preference in their application and enclose therewith all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights, as well as all evidence of eligibility and of absence of any impediment to their exercising of the priority placement rights as stipulated under the special regulations. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call and achieve top results in the selection procedure.

An application shall be deemed duly completed and complete if it contains all the data and the supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements. Incomplete, disorganised, and late applications shall not be taken into consideration, nor will there be a subsequent invitation to the applicants to amend such applications.

 

The applicants applying under point

 who are fully eligible under the formal terms and conditions of the Call may be invited to take part in an interview as part of the selection procedure. 

 

If invited, the applicants will receive a separate e-mail advising them of the time and place of the interview. 

 

Any applicant who fails to attend the interview at the time and the place as specified in the separate invitation, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.

 

The PMF collects and processes personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No: 035-01/18-01/5; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).

 

The closing date for submission of applications for all points of the Call is 30 days after publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
