Please Note: This position will be based on both our Main and Souch campuses.

Reporting to the Academic Strategy and Operations Manager, this role, as the sole supervisor of the administrative team, provides overall leadership and management functions for this group as individuals and as a team. The position assures that all work performed by the team meets the administrative quality and service delivery requirements of the school.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to program administrative staff.
  • Liaise between leadership/management and program administrative staff to ensure program and School needs are met.
  • Provide organization & coordination of administrative functions within the school.
  • Assist in budget preparation, monitoring and analysis.
  • Develop & implement new process & procedures to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Develop & implement consistent training/cross training process for new and existing staff.
  • Provide support in general administrative tasks as required.

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance priorities and take initiative
  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite is essential.
  • Knowledge of computerized application systems, (i.e. PeopleSoft) would be an asset.

 

Qualifications:

  • Related degree such as Arts, Commerce or Business Administration
  • 3-5 years of supervisory/leadership experience
  • Equivalent combination of diploma level education and relevant experience may be considered

 

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES).

 

 

Remuneration: $58,496.36 - $76,936.34 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification – Admin Officer I).                           

 

This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
