What you will do
The team is responsible for the translation of early‑stage device and system concepts into feasible integration flows, working closely with device, process development, design, and characterization teams across imec. Together with the team, your mission is to enable innovative integration solutions in silicon photonics, advanced RF technologies, heterogenous integration of novel materials and exploratory technology demonstrators. You will guide your team through complex technical challenges, ensuring high technical quality and alignment with imec technology roadmaps.
Your main duties include:
- You provide technical guidance to the team to overcome technical and operational bottlenecks and ensure seamless collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
- You assign team members to tasks requested by project/program managers considering scope, complexity and competencies.
- You oversee the projects carried out by the team, follow progress, identify risks early, and adjust where needed.
- You implement and monitor the HR processes in the team (e.g., setting goals, coaching, evaluation).
- You create a strong team atmosphere and foster opportunities for knowledge sharing and cross‑learning.
- You interact closely with your peers, internal and external (project and program managers), and with other groups across imec.
- You communicate status and issues to your peers, internal customers, and the leadership team at imec.
- You will represent COP pathfinding integration in customer interactions, technical reviews, and selected external collaborations relevant to your field of competence.
