Offer Description
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to:
- deliver a range of English language and linguistics exercises and (depending on the interests of the successful candidate) exercises in English-language literature;
- supervise and correct assignments, formative tests and parts of certification assessments;
- develop research and prepare a doctoral thesis within the framework of the NALTT Institute (https://www.unamur.be/fr/naltt ) under the supervision of an academic from the English unit (in line with current research topics);
- actively participate in the life of the English unit, the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures (e.g. participating in the organisation of intra- and extra-mural activities and invigilation duties during exam periods) and the NaLTT Institute.
The exact distribution of teaching duties will be defined collectively and in a manner complementary to the profiles of the other members attached to the unit. It should be noted, however, that following a recent programme reform, the module ‘Doing and reporting on corpus research’ (1 hour/week in the second semester of Block 2, as part of the course ‘Usage-based approaches to language study’) will be assigned to the successful candidate. Familiarity with this subject area is therefore an advantage.
