Specific Requirements
Your personal sphere of play:
Your future position is at the Institute of Business Decisions and Analytics in the working group of Business Analytics, characterized by excellent research in transportation analytics.
This position is limited to three years,
Your future tasks:
Active participation in research, teaching and administration, which means:
- You build up an independent research profile in the field of railway optimization.
- You are involved in research projects and scientific studies in the areas of vehicle and crew scheduling.
- You publish internationally and give lectures.
- You apply for projects and raise third-party funds.
- You prepare and complete a publication-ready habilitation.
- You hold courses independelty within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You supervise your students in seminar and master's theses.
- You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed doctoral/PhD studies in business administration or related topics (e.g. industrial engineering)
- Outstanding dissertation
- International publications
- Experience in third-party projects, ideally in the area of railway optimization
- Didactic skills
- IT knowedge (e.g. Word, Overleaf)
- Knowledge of programming languages (eg. Julia, Matlab, Gurobi, Java, Python)
-Excellent knowledge of English
-Team player and high social/communication skills
