Scientific Profile

Based at the Department of Public Law and Political Science, the position involves supporting the digital transformation at the interfaces of law, economics and technical implementation from a public law perspective. Teaching focuses on interdisciplinary legal framework conditions of digital transformation and the development and evaluation of contemporary regulatory approaches, in connection with the field of excellence Smart Regulation. The successful candidate will be expected to be committed to interdisciplinary teaching and research, to active participation in university research networks, and to collaboration on projects with legislators, the judiciary, administrators, and the business community.

Employment Requirements

  • Austrian or equivalent foreign higher education degree corresponding with the position (doctorate/PhD)
  • Outstanding academic qualifications in research and teaching in the relevant discipline as well as several years of subject-relevant non-university practical experience (commensurate with stage of academic career and interruptions in employment due to caring responsibilities)
  • Gender mainstreaming and diversity management skills
  • Skills in higher education didactics and online teaching
  • Management and leadership experience
  • Good knowledge of German and English

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, aiming for academic excellence and integrity in research and teaching. He/she will have demonstrated ability to collaborate constructively in a responsible manner and inspire colleagues and students in an interdisciplinary, internationally oriented context.
