Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master's degree) for a full-time, four-year position

Job Duties:

  • Independent research in symbolic computation and work on a doctoral dissertation in mathematics
  • Participation in research projects and development of mathematical software
  • Teaching in English and cosupervision of student theses
  • Support with administrative tasks at the institute

Your Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must hold a completed diploma or master’s degree in mathematics
  • Knowledge of and experience in computer algebra and algorithmic algebraic geometry
  • International experience
  • Enthusiasm for research and teaching
  • Very good English skills (level: B2), German language skills are not required
  • Programming skills in computer algebra systems (e.g., SageMath)
