Base salary will be in the range $117,958 - $132,247 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 8)

About This Opportunity
The Senior Technical Business Analyst provides strategic analysis, planning and delivery support for enhancements across key enterprise platforms at the University of Queensland, including Governance, Risk and Compliance (Protecht), Service CRM (Oracle Service Cloud), and associated ERP systems.
Working across business, technology and vendor teams, this role leads the elicitation and translation of complex business and technical requirements into scalable and sustainable solutions. The position plays a key role in aligning system functionality and product direction with UQ’s strategic priorities, while supporting continuous improvement across critical enterprise platforms.
Key responsibilities will include:
Lead business analysis activities across enterprise SaaS platforms and integrated systems, including requirements elicitation, documentation, validation and traceability
Investigate operational issues and improvement opportunities, identifying root causes and recommending enhancements to systems, processes and service delivery
Facilitate stakeholder workshops and engagement activities to gather requirements, prioritise enhancements and build consensus across technical and business teams
Support solution delivery through testing coordination, change management activities and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and usability

About You
You are an experienced technical business analyst with strong analytical capability and the ability to work across complex enterprise environments. You are confident translating business needs into technical solutions and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver improvements that support organisational outcomes.
You will demonstrate:
Postgraduate qualifications in IT, business or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
Extensive experience working as a business analyst in complex environments involving enterprise systems and SaaS platforms
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and identify practical solutions
Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience supporting system enhancements, integrations and continuous improvement initiatives
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver outcomes in dynamic environments
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across diverse groups
Strong understanding of system lifecycle management, testing practices and change management principles
Desirable: Experience with Governance Risk and Compliance platforms (e.g. Protecht), CRM platforms such as Oracle Service Cloud, or experience working within the higher education sector.
