About You

RMIT Activator is looking for a confident program facilitator and skilled grants coordinator who thrives in dynamic, innovation focused environments. In this role, you will deliver established entrepreneurial programs such as incubators and design thinking workshops using well developed content, while bringing your own expertise to support founders, researchers and partners. You will also take ownership of coordinating and writing competitive grant submissions, from attending briefings and gathering inputs to shaping strong proposals that enable new impact driven initiatives.

We are seeking someone who has hands on experience delivering or facilitating programs and a genuine interest in innovation, impact or entrepreneurship. You might come from sectors like health, med tech, social impact, circular economy or another field where you have supported communities, run learning experiences or coordinated complex projects. If you want autonomy, variety and a front row seat to the development of entrepreneurship and innovation at RMIT, we would love to hear from you.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Demonstrated experience (typically 5+ years) delivering entrepreneurship, innovation or impact-focused programs, with the ability to design and facilitate engaging learning experiences for founders or innovators.

  • Proven experience in scoping and writing proposals and grants

  • Proven experience leading the delivery of grant-funded or partner-funded projects, including contributing to funding proposals and managing projects against agreed milestones, budgets and reporting requirements.

  • Strong facilitation skills, with experience running workshops, programs or selection processes and applying evaluation and continuous improvement practices.

  • Ability to integrate global and local best practice into program design and delivery, adapting approaches to suit diverse cohorts and impact objectives.

  • Knowledge of impact frameworks, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and experience measuring and communicating social, environmental or economic impact.

  • Experience working in or alongside academic or research-based environments, particularly in program delivery, innovation or research translation contexts.
