About the role

Are you highly organised, great with people, and experienced in providing administrative support?

We’re looking for a Cluster Support Officer to join our team in the College of Vocational Education (CoVE).

This is a varied and dynamic administrative role, supporting educators and program teams to deliver great student outcomes.

As a Cluster Support Officer, you’ll work closely with Program Managers and Coordinators to provide day-to-day admin support, help coordinate projects, and keep things running smoothly. You’ll also play a role in improving processes, enhancing the student experience, and supporting effective use of funding.

The role sits within an embedded support model and reports to the Operations Coordinator, with a strong connection to the cluster's leadership. It offers a mix of business-as-usual administration and project-based tasks that align with the College’s operational needs.
 

We’re looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive, collaborative approach. You’ll be adaptable, organised, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced education environment.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality administrative and customer service support within a complex organisational environment, including managing queries and supporting the implementation of processes across multiple priorities.

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain strong attention to detail, and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to apply communications templates to prepare clear and accurate correspondence and documentation for a variety of audiences.

  • Demonstrated flexibility, initiative, and adaptability, with the ability to work independently under broad direction and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to support the implementation of operational processes and contribute to process improvements, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, data accuracy, and student and operational outcomes.

  • Proven ability to use information and communication technologies effectively, including Microsoft Office 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams and relevant data systems, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Victorian Employee Working with Children and a National Police Check.
